Jon Helminiak with his friend and Academy Award winning movie producer Walter Mirisch. In 1994, Jon recorded a 30 minute exclusive interview with Mirisch in his Hollywood office where Mirisch recalled producing films such as "In the Heat of the Night", "West Side Story", "Hawaii Five-O" and "The Apartment".

Jon Helminiak has written and hosted numerous television programs and documentary films.

In 2010, Jon and his production colleague Christian Peschken and founded Pax Media Corporation. The mission of Pax Media is to produce short [6-10 minute] documentary films exclusively for non-profit organizations. Jon is serves as Pax Media’s Chief Operating Officer, writer and program host.

Jon’s business partner Christian Peschken., has over 30 years of film and television experience. Most recently, Christian worked in Hollywood as an executive film producer alongside the legendary Roger Corman. Together they produced feature films including Dillinger & Capone starring F. Murray Abraham and Martin Sheen, and Captain Nuke and the Bomber Boys starring Rod Steiger and Martin Sheen.
